The return of a former title challenger and a clash of youth and experience—could MMA Series be gearing up to announce a major event?

Information has surfaced on MMA Series social media channels and MMA-TV.COM that the promotion is working on several matchups featuring some of the league’s leading fighters.

In the welterweight division, a bout between Gleb Mikhalev and Arymarcel Santos is reportedly being considered. Mikhalev made his promotional debut at MMA Series-92, defeating Nasrulla Magomedov, while the experienced Santos has competed in fourteen bouts, including a 2-on-2 contest and a special-rules matchup against champion Sergey Bobryshev.

In the featherweight division, plans are in the works for the return of former title challenger Ilya Varvarskiy, who holds a league record of seven wins, two draws and three losses. He could share the cage with undefeated Eduard Bagratunyan, whose professional record stands at ten wins.

In addition, two potential lightweight matchups are being actively discussed. Former title challenger Andrey Vasilenko could face Shamshodi Rozizoda, while reigning champion Dmitry Mikhailidi is preparing to defend his belt against featherweight champion Nikita Barkhatov. As a reminder, at MMA Series-93 Mikhailidi defeated Vasilenko in a title fight. Afterward, Barkhatov entered the cage and stated his intention to move up to lightweight.
