Fakhretdinov Leaves the UFC Undefeated

Russian welterweight Rinat Fakhretdinov has left the UFC without suffering a single defeat during his time with the promotion. The first Tatar in the organization’s history, Fakhretdinov logged seven fights under the UFC banner — winning six and fighting once to a draw.

Fakhretdinov last stepped into the Octagon in September of this year, when he knocked out Andreas Gustafsson in the first round. According to the 34-year-old himself, his UFC contract has expired, and the two sides were unable to reach terms on a new deal. From now on, Rinat is a free agent — which means we may soon see him competing in a new place.
