Tsarukyan and Shara Bullet Fight to a Draw

The Hype League tournament has concluded in Yerevan, Armenia, with a highly anticipated grappling match between UFC stars Arman Tsarukyan and Sharabutdin Magomedov, widely known as Sharabullet. The submission-only bout served as the main event of the evening and attracted significant attention from MMA fans.

Despite a clear size difference — Magomedov competes in the UFC middleweight division, while Tsarukyan fights at lightweight — the matchup promised intrigue. Tsarukyan is regarded as one of the most elite wrestlers in the UFC, and his grappling credentials were expected to counterbalance Sharabullet’s physical strength.

The match was contested under submission-only rules, meaning the only path to victory was via submission or choke. The bout was scheduled for six minutes with no breaks, and if no finish occurred, the fight would be ruled a draw regardless of dominance or control.

From the opening moments, Tsarukyan pushed the pace, repeatedly attempting takedowns. However, Magomedov showcased strong balance and high-level takedown defense, remaining on his feet for most of the contest. Early in the fifth minute, Tsarukyan finally managed to secure a takedown, though he was unable to establish sustained control. A second takedown followed shortly after, but time expired before either fighter could threaten with a submission.

As a result, the grappling match between Arman Tsarukyan and Sharabullet officially ended in a draw. Following the bout, both UFC fighters showed mutual respect, shaking hands and expressing interest in a potential rematch.
