Former Australian champion looks to rebound from Makhachev loss at UFC Perth

UFC Fight Night 275 takes place May 2 in Perth, Australia, with a high-stakes welterweight clash headlining the card as hometown favorite Jack Della Maddalena faces Brazil’s Carlos Prates.

For Della Maddalena, it will be his first fight since losing to Islam Makhachev in late 2025, when the Australian surrendered his championship belt to the Russian. Della Maddalena owns an 8-1 record in the UFC, while Prates has gone 6-1 inside the Octagon.

In the co-main event, Australia’s Quillan Salkilld will look to cement his status as one of the brightest prospects in the lightweight division when he takes on seasoned veteran Beneil Dariush.

The card will also feature former MMA Series fighter Shamil Gaziev, Steve Erceg, Tim Elliott, Tai Tuivasa and several other notable UFC names.
