Pavlovich knocks out Teixeira in 39 seconds; Yadong submits Figueiredo in UFC Macau headliner

Song Yadong delivered in front of the home crowd in Macau, submitting former UFC champion Deiveson Figueiredo in the main event of the UFC’s latest card in China.

Earlier in the night, Russian heavyweight Sergei Pavlovich made another statement inside the Octagon, stopping Brazil’s Tallison Teixeira in just 39 seconds.

Pavlovich wasted little time taking control of the fight, landing several clean shots early before forcing the stoppage by TKO less than a minute into the opening round. The win marked Pavlovich’s third straight successful outing in the UFC.

Immediately after the fight, Pavlovich used his post-fight interview to call out UFC president Dana White and demand a title shot.
